Higher Studies!Woooh!I certainly chose this topic as it is the most common term in the recent years among the under graduates in India,China, etc Isn't it ? Well ,lets have a look at it.How it has impacted current generation? As everyone knew higher studies is nothing but a type of education which provides you an in-depth knowledge in a particular field.There are several kinds of education and institutions providing the knowledge and skills required for the modern generation.
When and why did all these began ?
USA knew there are enormous amount of passionate students around the world but they are not able to gain the required knowledge in a particular field. Hence the US and the other developed countries saw this as an opportunity. They were ready to share the knowledge to the rest of the world for a huge money. The resources available are too less in the other countries. So this was an advantage to other countries and they were open to worldwide.
Why you need higher studies?
Are you really passionate about what you studied in your UG?You want to get specialized in a known field? You want to be an expert in that domain? Then its for you.Please do not do higher studies just because you didn't like your job. Know your interest earlier in your life. Decide what you want to be. Don't leave things to the time. Do not do your higher studies just because you don't have any plan in your life. Be clear with your destination.
Why in foreign nation?Why not in India itself?
There is scope of doing highers in India itself,but let me tell why people move out. The main drawback in India is the number of very good colleges providing the right knowledge is very less.Of course the admission process and procedures are less tedious when compared to abroad.Also Indian colleges are less expensive. Still why do people go outside? We all know that Indian admission system governed by central govt. is not only based on your performance but also based on caste systems. Hence the right candidate will not get the opportunity always. This seems to be the main criteria to go abroad for education. Students not only gain the right knowledge but also get exposed to new people,new culture, new languages, new minds.You need to do a very thorough research about the college as you are investing a lot.There are so many banks providing you funds at lesser rate(kindly research ;) )
Purpose of the blog:
So keeping in mind the investment you gonna make and your future , choose whether you require a higher studies or not. Most of them do it for name sake and they don't go ahead in that.So invest the money in you wisely. Have a serious goal before doing MS or M.tech. And finally choose a profession that suits you ; don't go for the one that chooses you.
